Victorian Square Plaza Plan

You’re invited!

The city of Sparks invites you to participate in a meeting to review draft conceptual plans for the proposed reconstruction Victorian Square Plaza and the development of the adjacent privately-owned property. Following a series of presentations to stakeholders and the public, a  amendment to the Victorian Square Development Plan, a component of the Town Center Redevelopment Plan, will be submitted for review and action by the Sparks Planning Commission, Sparks Redevelopment Agency and Sparks City Council.

The purpose of the proposed amendment to the Victorian Square Development Plan is two-fold:

  • To address the property owner’s development plans for high-rise residential buildings with ground-floor retail and office uses on the four parcels located east and west of the plaza between Avenue of the Oaks and Victorian Avenue; and
  • Incorporate a plan for reconstruction of the plaza and adjacent public right-of-way, including possible new features and amenities (e.g., event space, dog park, water feature, play area).

Virtual and in-person meetings have been scheduled.

Meetings will be held pursuant to NRS 241.023 and State of Nevada Declaration of Emergency Directive 006. Social distancing and face coverings are required for in-person attendance. In-person attendees must also RSVP to (775) 353-2300 and meetings will be limited to a maximum of 50 participants. Virtual attendees may use the use the Zoom link or the telephone dial-in option. Public comment will be limited to no more than three minutes for each commentator pursuant to NRS 241.020.
