Fun in Store for Sparks Kids Triathlon Participants on June 15

Sparks, NV – Mark your calendar for the City of Sparks Kids Triathlon! It’s the perfect introduction to the world of triathlon races for children age 4 to 14. The event will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Alf Sorensen Community Center, 1400 Baring Blvd.

An exciting swim-bike-run format will be featured with distance based on the age group of the competitors. The focus of the event is to provide a FUN triathlon experience in a non-competitive environment. The races will not be timed.

The entry fee for the Kids Triathlon is $35, which includes a T-shirt, race bag, and participatory medal. Scholarship assistance is available for eligible households. Participants must provide their own equipment, including bike, helmet, running shoes, swimsuit and goggles. Helmets are mandatory.

Participants must know how to swim. Parents of children age 6 and younger can accompany their child through the course. However, parents may not assist with any forward progress during the event.
