Don’t Drive Arrive! to Star Spangled Sparks Fireworks Event
Reno, Nevada (June 28, 2018) – Don’t Drive Arrive! to see the fireworks at the Nugget’s Star Spangled Sparks fireworks show on the 4th of July. There are plenty of alternatives to driving your car to the event.
FREE Event shuttles:
Free shuttles will take passengers to RTC CENTENNIAL PLAZA in Sparks from 6 p.m. until midnight on July 4. The RTC will provide shuttle service from the RSCVA Convention Center, lot C. There is no charge to park at the convention center. All West Charter service will also provide shuttle service from 204 Edison Way in Sparks.
Park and Bike! LimeBikes will be staged at three locations, including Sparks City Hall at 431 Prater Way, the Larry D. Johnson Community Center at 1200 12th Street and the Sparks Marina at 300 Howard Drive. Please check the LimeBike app for availability.
Please do not ride your bike through the events, as this could be dangerous for pedestrians. Bike drop-off locations will be set up on the west side of the event, west of RTC CENTENNIAL PLAZA on Victorian Avenue, and on the east side of the event, east of downtown at the Memorial Park on Pyramid Highway and C Street.
Sparks Kiwanis is offering a free bike valet from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. at the corner of 11th Street and Victorian.
Regular RTC transit services at RTC 4TH STREET STATION and RTC CENTENNIAL PLAZA will be on a Sunday schedule. Plan your trip at rtcwashoe.com. Fares begin at $2 for a single ride, and people can purchase passes on their smartphones by downloading the Token Transit app.
