City of Sparks Announces Sparks Marina Path Detour
Sparks, NV – Beginning Tuesday, February 12, a section of the Sparks Marina path will be closed, and pedestrians detoured, as the pathway is realigned and widened by property developers. The section located on the northeast corner of the marina in front of the blue retail buildings, will be closed until June as construction of the planned Sparks Water Bar restaurant begins.
Path users, when walking northbound on the east side of the Sparks Marina, will be detoured at the footbridge crossing the marina channel, directed to Harbour Cove Drive and required to cross to the east side of street so as not to conflict with the LGC Waterfront construction. Pedestrians will then be detoured to the intersection of East Lincoln Way and Harbour Cove Drive where they can rejoin the marina pathway on the west side of the Sparks Marina.
The project will allow for better access along the northeast corner of the park and allow developers to create an outdoor patio area for the restaurant and other retail businesses.
