34th Annual Hometowne Christmas Parade: The ART of Christmas
SPARKS, Nev. (Sept. 9, 2021) – The City of Sparks hosts the 34th annual Hometowne Christmas Parade Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, and is calling for parade entrants to register for the signature event.
Early registration ends Monday, Sept. 13, with final entries due by Nov. 22. Parade spots fill up fast, so those wishing to participate in the parade are encouraged to reserve their space soon.
This year’s theme is The Art of Christmas and entrants are encouraged to embrace artistry and incorporate art.
“We are celebrating the holiday season with the new art installations and a culturally infused Victorian Square,” said Events Supervisor Francine Burge. “Put on your best black beret, pick up your trumpet, palette, or your script and get creative. Show us your love of art and celebrate your favorite artwork.”

Friday, Dec. 3, 6:30 – 7 p.m. – Tree Lighting Ceremony
Saturday, Dec. 4, 1 – 2:30 p.m. – Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade in Victorian Square
Fee structure for applicants:
Early Registration: Ends Sept. 13, cost is $35
Regular Registration: Sept. 14 to Nov. 12, cost is $40
Late Registration: Nov. 12 to Nov. 22, cost is $100

As part of the registration process, parade entrants are required to write a script about their entry that will be read by announcers during the parade.
