3rd Thursday is back and we are excited to bring you all the best a night out has to offer! This includes good food, cold drinks, live entertainment, crafts, chef demos, movies on the big screen and all the art you can handle! Downtown Sparks is the place to be this and every 3rd Thursday of the month, all year round!

The Sparks Museum and Cultural Center, 39 North Downtown, and Sierra Arts Foundation along with the City of Sparks have created a downtown experience with art surrounding the Sparks Arts Walk: music, poetry reading, performances, art tours with food and kids activities. Every month, we invite you to come downtown to enjoy the museum, train and historical schoolhouse. Every month brings new items to explore.

This this month’s Third Thursday/Art Walk Line up is packed!

September’s event on the 16th from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. in downtown Victorian Square.


Laurel Picklum – ‘Adaptation’
Depot Gallery, 5-7:00p.m.
“I grew up in California raised by a pair of nature-loving scientists. Thus far, my life has been filled with creativity through drawing, painting, and music, as well as an ever-growing appreciation for biology and the natural world.” Ms. Picklum has a degree in Fine Arts from San Jose State University and completed the Natural Science Illustration program at the University of Washington in Seattle. ‘Adaptation’ will present botanical studies of native California Plant species in both watercolor and screen prints and a series of oil paintings exploring the relationships of native animal species in urban/city environments. Sparks Art Walk
Guided tours from 5-6:30 p.m. Tours leave at 5:00, 5:30, 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. and last about 30 minutes. Tours start in Lillard Park, next to the Depot Gallery. Look for our volunteers.
