Youth Sports

Youth sports are one of the fastest growing recreation programs nationwide – and the same holds true for the City of Sparks. The Sparks Parks and Recreation Department has built a solid program through the years with a variety of leagues, clinics and camps designed to promote good sportsmanship, teamwork and skill development for children of all ages and abilities. 

34th Annual Youth Basketball League for 3rd-6th grade

34th Annual Basketball League
All skill levels can take part in this popular league that emphasizes sportsmanship, skill development, and FUN! Interested in coaching or assisting with a team? Call Cindy at (775) 353–2385 or e-mail sportsinfo@cityofsparks.us. Team photo, individual photo, and reversible mesh jersey included. Space is limited so register early. Registration ends November 15.

GHT Basketball Spring Break Camp
This fun spring break camp covers key fundamentals, character and the values necessary to achieve your goals in sports and life. Whether you are trying to make your junior high team, high school team, or just learning how to compete in basketball, this is the camp for you. GHT Camp is also geared to teach each athlete life skills utilizing sports one individual at a time.

NNJ Kidz Court
Don’t miss this great opportunity for children to get their first experience with volleyball! The program introduces the concepts of volleyball and other athletic skills. Baseball

BLASTBALL!® The Game to Save Baseball Have you ever watched a tee ball game and been bored to tears? Well, so were the kids! BlastBall!® is a totally new concept for teaching the fundamentals of baseball and softball at the entry level of play, for an exciting and rewarding experience. Each participant receives a Blastball® T-shirt and picture.

Little Tennis
Give your little ones an introduction to tennis! Short racquets are used to insure success and fun. Students will develop eye hand coordination skills and footwork. They will also learn how to listen and take verbal direction from a coach, and work with a partner.

This tennis program provided by All Seasons Racquet Sports, is a great way to give your child an introduction to a challenging but highly rewarding lifetime sport while making

Soccer

Just for Kicks Soccer Camp
Learn the basics of soccer while having FUN! The camp covers stretching, exercise, skills and games. Each participant will receive a JUST FOR KICKS T–shirt. Instructors will emphasize teamwork, attention skills, and enjoyment of the sport. So come sign up – it will be a kick! Space is limited.
