Sparks Flood Preparedness Update #1

The National Weather Service is projecting the Truckee River flood flows to peak between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Please use extreme caution during the morning commute in the Sparks industrial area.  Police barricades may be in place tomorrow morning depending on flood waters.  The City is asking citizens to be respectful and not go around or bypass the police barricades.

FLOOD PREPAREDNESS HOTLINE: The City has established a flood preparedness hotline for general information at 775-353-5555 for the next 24-hours.

SANDBAG LOCATIONS: At this time, the City has established two sandbag stations:

  • 855 Linda Way
  • Larkin Circle (in front of Pick-N-Pull)
