Sparks Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament

Make your next round of golf count — play in the Sparks Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament on October 20, 2017, and you’ll be supporting the Sparks Youth Scholarship Fund. This fund offers scholarships to at-risk children in need of programming in a safe, structured environment during non-school hours.

Last year’s winning team was Environmental Concepts:  Bruce Potter, Ed Halicki, Craig Woods and David Swanson. Congratulations!

More than $96,000 has been raised to-date through the Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament. Thanks to the participants, sponsors, local businesses who donate raffle prizes, and support from the Charles N. Mathewson Foundation and Red Hawk Golf and Resort, more than 250 classes and activities were made available to eligible children this past year.

It can be life-changing to learn the mechanics of a sport and the dynamics of participating on a team. It can also be life-saving to learn the basics of how to swim. The Sparks Youth Scholarship Fund provides these types of opportunities.
