Since its opening in 2008, the Sports Complex at Golden Eagle Regional Park has become an exciting destination for tourists and locals alike, and has played host to numerous regional and national events for organizations such as the Amateur Softball Association, Senior Softball USA and Triple Crown Sports. The facility has featured weddings, a 5K and 10K trail run, men’s and women’s semi-pro football, high school Lacrosse and even the filming of a movie!
The 100 acre sports complex is the largest public works project in the history of the City of Sparks. Tournaments and events held at the facility in 2014 had a positive economic impact of $20 million. The state-of-the-art facility features 1.4 million square feet of artificial turf -- the largest single installation artificial turf project in North America. League and tournament games have generated more than one million participants and spectators.
Whether you come out to practice, compete, watch a game or have a picnic, it's happening here!
