 ADULT CLASSES
Acting for Beginners
Sometimes the first step is just showing up.  If you’ve ever wanted to explore the world of acting, learn from a pro who has been part of the Reno/Sparks theatre community for over 25 years.  Movement, technique, auditioning and more are covered in this introduction to a rewarding and fulfilling journey that begins with the first step: just showing up! Mondays beginning 4/9 from 7pm – 9pm at the Larry D. Johnson Community Center. Cost:  $40 per session.

Musical Theatre Performance for Adults
This course will cover the basics and fundamentals of acting for musical theatre as well as vocal performance technique and theatre dance. Using the Stanislavski Acting Method students will be exploring how to create a character based on given circumstances. Students will work on and perform solo pieces and duets. This class also will touch on audition preparation. Wednesdays 6:00pm -8:00pm, starting April 18 at the Larry D. Johnson Community Center.

 TEENS
Teen Paint & Snack featuring Vincent van Gogh
Your teen ages 12-16 years old will receive creative guidance from Arts for All Nevada’s artist to paint their own 16” x 20” canvas masterpiece in a fun social setting for teens. This class is perfect for all artistic levels. Featured painting is Van Gogh’s “Irises”.  All supplies are included in this two-hour class for only $15! Class will be held in in Sparks at the Larry D. Johnson Community Center on Friday, April 13, 5-7:00 p.m.

Musical Theatre Performance for Teens
This course will cover the basics and fundamentals of acting for musical theatre as well as vocal performance technique and theatre dance. This fun class will allow students to learn about and perform songs from Broadway Musicals, Disney and other animated movies, and operettas. Students age 13-18 will work on and perform solo pieces, but duet and ensemble work. Wednesdays 4:00pm -6:00pm, Larry D. Johnson Center begins April 18.  Cost: $80 per session.

Discover the Arts
The very popular Artown “Discover the Arts” Project expands to Sparks. The class, Presentation – Break – Hands-On Work, is an hour-long program taught weekly in July. Each week will showcase a different discipline: visual arts, drama, music and spoken word for kids ages 6 – 12. Saturday Mornings at 11:00 a.m. Sparks Museum and Cultural Center. FREE. Still Life Painting Classes
City of Sparks and Sparks Museum and Cultural Center is partnering with Arts for All for all ages and abilities Still Life classes on Thursdays during the Marketplace.  Sparks Museum and Cultural Center, 4:00-6:00. Free– All materials are included. See museum website for details.
