This division is responsible for all development review, plan checking, permitting, and entitlements including planned developments, subdivisions, zone changes, master plan amendments, code amendments, special use permits, variances and regional plan amendments. This division is also responsible for focusing on the long range needs for the community, participate in the regional planning process and other regional programs and committees. In addition, they work on economic development, redevelopment planning, housing, Sparks' annexation program and updating of the City's Master Plan for growth management.
