City Clerk and Records Management

The City Clerk performs various duties as required by the Nevada Revised Statutes, City Charter and City Ordinances.

These duties include the following:

  • The City Clerk serves as the liaison between the public and city council and provides related municipal services.
  • The City Clerk protects the people's access to government by administering open meetings, campaign disclosures, public records and elections.
  • The City Clerk ensures, before and after the City Council takes action, that actions are in compliance with all federal, state and local statutes and regulations and that all actions are properly executed, recorded, and archived.
  • The City Clerk's Office also fulfils requests for public information.
